oOumm

Founded by Maria Bosoni in 2015, French brand oOumm exists at the intersection between design and fragrance; bringing together top artists, noses and sculptors to create stunning scent meets design creations. Their name, oOumm, references that subtle sound of pleasure released when first experiencing a new, exquisite scent..."hum"... or like the meditative "Om" reflective of the brands luxurious and zen intent. oOumm is unlike any candle brand on the market, positioning themselves as the culmination of art, design, material, perfume, and haute-craftsmanship.

The collaboration played out between French Nose Barnabé Fillion, artist Christiane Perrochon, and Dan Yeffet in collaboration with Jérôme Aumont–founder of Collection Particulière. The result is a collection of olfactory delights named after the constellations and made from natural, high quality materials like carrera marble used in the execution of oOumm's singular creations that transcend the creative boundaries of candle making.

Their first collection showcasing at Maison&Objet 2016, is a collaborative effort between these three unique Creatives: Barnabé Fillion, famous French “nose” and winner of “Talent of the Year” at Maison&Objet 2013 who has created four bespoke scents composed of rare and uncommon ingredients for the capsuled candle collection. A collaboration between Jérôme Aumont’s and Dan Yeffet who created objects and elegant marble casings in many of the stone’s natural variations: Carrara, Emperador, Sienna brown, Portoro, Paonazzo, Calacatta and Saint Laurent. And a line of candles by ceramist, colourist Christiane Perrochon whose beautifully simple encasings surround wax of born from yet another sophisticated formula.

And for a functional twist... The marble creations designed by Dan Yeffet allows for the candles can be refilled in the epitome of a capsule concept: to be exchanged for different scents, making them at once timeless and ephemeral.

What to find out more about the four Barnabé capsule scents descendant of the constellations? 16 Tauri, Mu Virginis, Cor Caroli, Erakis. See inside….
