Susanna Greeves, Curator of ‘Britain Creates’, London28/07/2012
Couture and fine Art came together in the V&A’s ‘Britain Creates 2012′, an ambitious project that paired artists and designers from the worlds of fashion and art to create unique one- off pieces. The nine collaborations ‚ or in the words of curator Susanna Greeves, ‚blind- dates’ ‚ unite fashion designers such as Matthew Williamson and Paul Smith with equally high-profile artists such as Charming Baker, Mat Collishaw and Jeremy Deller. Susanna talked more with Creative Mapping about how they put together such a show, and her own experiences working with the artists during the development stages.
