Google Creates Inception Art
Remember imagining shapes in clouds as a little kid? Google has been taught–or is learning– to do just that with pictures on the web using artificial neural networks to create what the Google team calls “inception art” and the results are pretty trippy…
Google is essentially feeding itself millions of images to an artificial intelligence network which is based on the human brain until it begins to recognize patterns and objects within images.
“It also makes us wonder whether neural networks could become a tool for artists, or perhaps even shed a little light on the roots of the creative process in general.” – Google researchers.
