Art Basel Miami 2015, the annual international art show that bounces between Basel, Switzerland, Hong Kong and Miami Beach connecting top art galleries, artists, buyers and enthusiasts. 1. Lenny Kravitz turns the camera on the paparazzi for his Art Basel photo exhibition:
The singer's exhibition took an ironic art imitates life turn. For his Art Basel 2015 show, Kravitz intended to snap profound photographs of people in everyday life, but every time he stepped outside with his camera, he was bombarded by paparazzi and fans. So Kravitz decided to turn the camera on them... it started as a joke and turned into something more.
Kravitz told the associated press:
"It started out being a real nuisance because I wanted to shoot. I wanted time to do my thing and be anonymous [...] It's really weird that people feel they have a right to invade your space in any kind of way." -Lenny Kravitz

2. Larry Gagosian and Jeffrey Deitch (former MOCA director) present their first ever collaboration: "Unrealism"
The art curation giants have worked together since 1979, according to a Press Release. "Unrealism" is a show of figurative painting and sculpture featuring artists like Jamian Juliano-Villani and Ella Kruglyanskaya.
3. Music Meets Performance Art | Devonté Hynes X Ryan McNara
Musician Devonté Hynes (known as Blood Orange) collaborated with renowned performance artist Ryan McNara creating artwork that can only be desrcibed as the best kind of weird. Their music meets performance piece debuts at the Perez Art Museum. Find out more here.
